Social Issues in Games

As Globaloria teams have been going through their paper prototypes and answering questions about the Game Design Process, I see how many great ideas you all have. I understand how difficult it is to express your thoughts in a game, especially when it has to deal with science and a social issue.

I thought I would give you some opportunities to see how some game designers have done this. You will play two different games that are focused on teaching about a certain social issue that angers many people in our world. They both deal with the poor treatment of animals. The games are funny and fun to play, but the issues at heart are very serious.

When you are done playing these games, write Blog Post 5 and explain
1. how each game is played
2. what the social issue is
3. how the game taught about the issue
