Well, apparently kids staying up until the wee hours of the morning playing video games has become such a problem in South Korea that lawmakers have passed a law against doing just that. WOW ! This topic has really just gone out of proportion. I never knew kids could stay that long playing video games. I think that the law that was passed in Korea was a really good idea, I mean ; kids playing video games for a long time can get them distracted from their schoolwork, life and maybe even thinking of eating. I think that they should have that law here in texas, so kids can stop playing games and go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteThis law is absolutely outrages! People just can't be blocked from playing online because adults think they have to go to bed. I sometimes stay up without going to sleep and playing video games forever, but I hardly do that because I'm usually tired by 12 in the morning. I'm just glad that I'm not living in South Korea because I would go crazy not being able to play video games for 6 hours.
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy I hope they don't do that in the United States ! Its crazy because a lot of people do stay up that late but some do not like me I only get on that late if it was a weekend or a couple days off but i hardly ever even play games.

ReplyDeleteI don't really mind, because I don't play games too often, nor do I stay up until 6AM. I suppose that I don't have a problem with it unless I get addicted to a game, but so far that has yet to happen. Other than that It sounds like a good idea to make sure kids get a good amount of rest.

I think people should stop playing games all night. I know I have done that a few times before , but I have heard about this before. In Korea there was a kid that stayed up for days ignoring all his bodily needs and warnings of hunger and thirst and ended up dropping dead playing on the computer.(THIS IS TRUE)

But once there was a kid that stayed up for days and ate pizza and he used the restroom in bottle but when he stood up he died.

If they are going to waste their lives playing video games, they should do it after they're done with school and can do whatever they want. If I lived in south Korea, this wouldn't bother me. I would never play video games this long.

I love to play and yeah I do stay up late but not when I go to school. I rather watch TV than play video games on school days.

I think that it's a bit unnecessary to create a law that tries to prevent kids from playing video games , late at night or early in the morning . Yeah , they should be in bed , getting ready for school , etc . , but like the author said it's up to the parents to make sure the kids get to bed . Kids are always going to find a loophole , so really the law is almost pointless .

Good thing that this does not affect me at all because I really don't enjoy playing video games as much as doing an outdoor activity or just being active. I love playing video games.I just LOVE PLAYING that my mom gets so mad that she takes all my games and dosent give them back till a week!But when you tell a gamer that they cant play games after 6:00!!!!!!!I would just leave the country as fast as I could.You just dont tell a gamer that you cant play games after 6:00 thats like making a home made nuke in your house.So the South Korean people should forget that law before the kids start making bounty huts on government people.

Also they have no consequences right now so the kids are going to be left of the hook if they lie about their age. VIDEO GAMES are awesome.Sometimes it depends what game you are playing. I like playing PS3, but I don't play it all the time. I sometimes stay up all late on the weekends.During weekdays I don't play no games at all...that often.
