I'm surprised that GIFs were invented so early on in filmatography, but they are an influential part of the internet nowadays, so it's not a big surprise that they had an early start.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that GIFs started that early... That's pretty interesting to see that they have come a long way. I also believe that when searching for a GIF that represents your emotion is, it is pretty artistic. To be honest, I hardly knew what GIF was until Tumblr.
ReplyDeleteI think it is interesting that GIFs were made at an earlier time. I never knew that and I think that GIFs are really cool since you can display anything on it and express your emotions or just make something funny.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that GIFs were invented long long time ago, it's awesome that they're still growing. I think that the GIF's purpose is to entertain people with funny movie scenes or with funny segments of a video which most of the characters are well known as memes.

ReplyDeleteThe article was very interesting, and I for one thought that Gifs were made by some random person that came up with the idea of replaying a short video that was supposed to be for fun or something. But this article cleared up my mind, its not a bad thing but its interesting how Gifs came to be... . . . . . . . (Potato)
ReplyDeleteI think that this specific article is very interesting. It's amazing how over time the old things just get transformed into something more advanced instead of just getting forgotten. It's super interesting to know that people have used GIFs over time without us even knowing.

I'm still kind of in a shock 1879 that's a long time ago .It's cool how GIF's are still around today , and how there getting more and more popular from a single horse gallop to two little boys dancing in the middle of there living room . ReplyDeleteI had no idea that GIFs were created so long ago! It seems like there is definitely a craving for animated GIFs in the media, and over the whole internet, as of late. I think that being able to take a single moment in time, and loop it over and over again is the most wonderful thing I've seen. There could be thousands of applications, and each would be equally amazing. I don't think people realize how important technology is, and how lucky we are to have the things we do, tools that allow us to help shape the world. Because that's exactly what technology is, the world's greatest tool.
